Plain language German Council Congress

AXICA ope­ned its doors on Sep­tem­ber 12, 2024 for the 22nd Ger­man Coun­cil Con­gress (GCC) of the Ger­man Coun­cil of Shop­ping Places. In our extra­or­di­na­ry, light-floo­ded loca­ti­on, 250 decis­i­on-makers from the retail and real estate indus­try gathe­red to dis­cuss the most pres­sing issues of the day. And, as the mot­to of the con­gress deman­ded, in all cla­ri­ty: KLARTEXT.

Our pre­mi­ses pro­vi­ded the per­fect stage for the high-cali­ber dis­cus­sions and pre­sen­ta­ti­ons that awai­ted the par­ti­ci­pan­ts. Under the mode­ra­ti­on of well-known TV jour­na­list Judith Rakers, the­re was no bea­ting around the bush on this day, but rather the topics that moved the indus­try were addres­sed cle­ar­ly and blunt­ly.
As the venue of the GCC, we were able to wit­ness how the gre­at minds of the indus­try, poli­tics and the media met in our rooms, exch­an­ged ide­as and thought tog­e­ther about the future of retail and retail real estate. Our archi­tec­tu­re was not only the back­drop, but also the inspi­ra­ti­on for the dis­cus­sions that took place here. Par­ti­ci­pan­ts were able to deve­lop bold ide­as and dis­cuss future-ori­en­ted solu­ti­ons in our open, modern envi­ron­ment: Digi­ta­liza­ti­on, chan­ging con­su­mer beha­viour, sus­taina­bi­li­ty and the future of urban spaces – all of the­se were at the heart of the event. After the con­gress, the guests enjoy­ed a din­ner buf­fet and used the mee­ting to network.

For us as an event venue, it was impres­si­ve to see how our rooms inspi­red the dis­cus­sions and exch­an­ges. AXICA stands for open­ness and inno­va­ti­on – and this was reflec­ted in the dis­cus­sions that took place here.
