AXICA.IM.BLICK 12. October 2026

An evening of space, flavour and light

On Monday 12 October, we hosted a special evening at Pariser Platz. The occasion was the Festival of Lights. However, the focus was not only on the view of the Brandenburg Gate, but also on the venue itself: its new spaces, its potential and the people who turn events here into special experiences – with particular emphasis, of course, on Hoflieferanten Berlin, recently appointed as AXICA’s official caterer.

In three chef’s table sessions, Hoflieferanten Berlin presented new culinary experiences in the newly designed ‘Ausblick’ room – which offers the best view of the Brandenburg Gate – and gave guests the chance to experience their ‘Zum Erinnern’ catering style first-hand: hearty Berlin cuisine given a modern twist and served without the usual pub clichés. The dishes and the concept behind them were presented personally by Head Chef Wolfgang Keller. The vegan lard sandwiches and the Berlin pancakes with sauerkraut purée – specially created for this evening – drew surprised looks and great enthusiasm.

All the dishes served that evening were developed entirely from vegan and vegetarian products, sourced from Hoflieferanten Berlin’s long-standing and carefully selected partners.

In the ‘Lichtblick’ and ‘Ausblick’ rooms, our guests were able to discover just how versatile the spaces are – whether for a shared dinner, a workshop, conversations and socialising, or as a relaxing retreat between individual programme items – and how the culinary offerings can be integrated into the event in a wide variety of ways.

Starters were served via flying service, whilst small snacks were already laid out on the tables. Main courses could be enjoyed at the Chef’s Table as part of a family-style sharing experience, or served by a chef from the buffet on the gallery.

As part of the evening, which encouraged guests to stroll around, marvelling at the sights and networking, the Lichtblick and Quadriga Regale rooms offered a selection of delicious desserts in a ‘grab-and-go’ style.

Between the individual stations, there was time for personal conversations, for catching up with familiar faces and for making new acquaintances. The Festival of Lights projections onto the Brandenburg Gate provided a special backdrop to the evening.

Thus, three elements came together that define any successful event: a space with its own unique atmosphere, good food and people engaging in conversation with one another.

AXICA.IM.BLICK was an evening of discovery, exchange and enjoyment – all centred on space, flavour and light.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all the guests who accepted our invitation to this colourful evening – it was lovely to see you again, to get to know you, and to experience new perspectives and ideas for events together with you.

We’d also like to extend our special thanks to the artist Monika Nagel, Thomas Fischer crosswork partners GmbH Stephan Mahnecke of Rent Group GmbH and David Fuld Fuldwerk for their generous support – you played a key role in making the evening a success.
