Inclusion in Action Bundesverband Kinderhospiz

It’s been two years since the „Kinder-Lebens-Lauf“ (Children’s Life Run, KLL) began its six-month journey from children’s hospice to children’s hospice across Germany. On 18 April, we welcomed the German Children’s Hospice Association to our Sky Lobby for an afternoon of positivity at the start of the 2024 Inclusion Run.

The Bundesverband Kinderhospiz e.V. was founded in 2002 on the initiative of children’s hospices. It is regarded as the most important centre of expertise for the counselling and care of affected children and their families. It represents the interests of inpatient children’s hospices and outpatient services.

The afternoon began with a short welcoming speech by Elke Büdenbender, wife of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and Jürgen Dusel, Federal Government Commissioner for Matters relating to People with Disabilities. Afterwards, all guests were able to prepare posters for the run. The highlight of the afternoon was the handover of the torch to starter child Jens Jenning. At the end, all participants gathered in front of the Brandenburg Gate for a group photo.

It was a great pleasure to be a supporter of this event and to feel the positive energy of all those involved.
