AXICA sponsors a orchard in Wulkow: Our commitment to biodiversity
We are looking forward to working with Äpfel und Konsorten e.V. and to making a concrete contribution to the preservation of orchards in Brandenburg. Our sponsorship is a further step in our efforts to assume ecological responsibility and promote the protection of biodiversity. With immediate effect, we are taking on a two-year sponsorship of half a hectare of orchard in Wulkow near Frankfurt/Oder. This sponsorship is more than just a symbolic act – it is an expression of our deep conviction that we must work together to preserve the diversity of nature.
On July 12, 2024, our CSR & Quality Manager Alexandra Beck, our Deputy Head Chef Sebastian Görmar and Junior Marketing Manager Lucie Buclon took a trip to Brandenburg and visited the area together with Oliver Exner from Äpfel & Konsorten e.V.. This gave them the opportunity to get to know the association’s work even better.
The association has been committed to the preservation and maintenance of orchards in Brandenburg since 2012. By purchasing or leasing land, Äpfel und Konsorten ensures that these valuable biotopes are managed and cared for sustainably.
Orchard are valuable habitats that provide a home for many animal and plant species. They are an important part of our cultural landscape and contribute significantly to the preservation of biodiversity. Unfortunately, they have declined significantly in recent decades, which is why their protection and maintenance are of great importance.
From now on, our customers will receive a sponsorship for a fruit tree for one year upon successful implementation of their event at AXICA and thus also contribute to the preservation of these valuable areas. Through this commitment, we would also like to encourage other companies and private individuals to get involved in environmental protection and preserve the diversity of nature together with us.
