Obituary for Frank Gehry The architect who designed our building

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of architect Frank Gehry. He died on December 5 at his home in Santa Monica. Gehry was 96 years old.

Our building on Pariser Platz bears his unmistakable signature. Gehry’s visionary architecture has given our venue a soul that goes far beyond the visible. The curved shapes, the interplay of light and materials, and the bold design inspire us and our guests every day. For many, AXICA is a place that surprises, moves, and connects, exactly what Frank Gehry always wanted to achieve with his work.
We are grateful to be able to work and welcome guests in a building that is one of the few Gehry structures in Germany. His work remains an obligation and an incentive for us to carry on his values and spirit of innovation.

Our thoughts are with his family and all those who were close to him.
Dear Frank Gehry, thank you for your art, your vision, and your legacy. AXICA will always remain a part of your history.
