On 11 October, AXICA became a place of encounter, dialogue and hope: the first SEBRACON – Convention for Rare Diseases took place here – under the motto ‘Rare. Visible. Strong!’. Promoting understanding, overcoming isolation, demonstrating collective strength.
The event was aimed at those affected, their families and professionals alike, and offered a wide range of opportunities for exchange with panel discussions, interactive workshops, personal experience dialogues and networking.
It was a great honour and at the same time an obligation for AXICA to support this important initiative. In our vision, we are committed to creating spaces where social cohesion can be experienced – especially for groups that are often not heard. SEBRACON impressively demonstrated how a place of togetherness – such as AXICA – can build bridges between medicine, politics, self-help and the lives of those affected.
We were also particularly pleased with the wonderful praise our colleague David Bauer received as project manager after the event: ‘I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks to you, SEBRACON was a complete success. Your professionalism, warmth and attentiveness made the day something special.“
