A different take on the Festival of Lights<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Octo\u00adber 15, near\u00adly one hundred guests joi\u00adn\u00aded us for an evening that pro\u00admi\u00adsed more than just a beau\u00adtiful view. The occa\u00adsi\u00adon was the Fes\u00adti\u00adval of Lights. But the real sto\u00adry was told by our venue\u2014with its new spaces\u2014and the peo\u00adp\u00adle who turn them into spe\u00adcial expe\u00adri\u00aden\u00adces. Lea\u00adding the way were Hof\u00adlie\u00adfe\u00adran\u00adten Ber\u00adlin, who recent\u00adly beca\u00adme AXICA\u2019s offi\u00adci\u00adal caterer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During three Chef\u2019s Table ses\u00adsi\u00adons, the new\u00adly desi\u00adgned \u201cAus\u00adblick\u201d room beca\u00adme the stage, offe\u00adring per\u00adhaps the best view of the illu\u00admi\u00adna\u00adted Bran\u00adden\u00adburg Gate. Here, guests were intro\u00addu\u00adced to the \u201cZum Erin\u00adnern\u201d cate\u00adring style: hear\u00adty Ber\u00adlin cui\u00adsine, given a modern twist and com\u00adple\u00adte\u00adly free of tavern cli\u00adch\u00e9s. Exe\u00adcu\u00adti\u00adve Chef Wolf\u00adgang Kel\u00adler per\u00adso\u00adnal\u00adly explai\u00adned the sto\u00adry behind each dish. And when the vegan lard sand\u00adwi\u00adches and the Ber\u00adlin pan\u00adca\u00adkes with sau\u00ader\u00adkraut pur\u00e9e\u2014developed espe\u00adci\u00adal\u00adly for this evening\u2014were ser\u00adved, the\u00adre were sur\u00adpri\u00adsed faces and ple\u00adnty of enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of the evening\u2019s dis\u00adhes were com\u00adple\u00adte\u00adly vegan or vege\u00adta\u00adri\u00adan, crea\u00adted using pro\u00adducts from Hof\u00adlie\u00adfe\u00adran\u00adten Berlin\u2019s long-stan\u00adding, careful\u00adly sel\u00adec\u00adted partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00adre was even more to dis\u00adco\u00adver on the side. During gui\u00added tours led by our advi\u00adsors Jule, Tanya, Maria, Nina, and Cath\u00adrin, guests were able to explo\u00adre all the rooms\u2014including our new \u201cLicht\u00adblick\u201d space. It quick\u00adly beca\u00adme clear just how ver\u00adsa\u00adti\u00adle the\u00adse spaces are: they can be used for a group din\u00adner, a work\u00adshop, casu\u00adal con\u00adver\u00adsa\u00adti\u00adons, or as a quiet cor\u00adner bet\u00adween pro\u00adgram events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In bet\u00adween, the\u00adre was always time for a per\u00adso\u00adnal con\u00adver\u00adsa\u00adti\u00adon, for cat\u00adching up with fami\u00adli\u00adar faces, and for making new acquain\u00adtances. And the Fes\u00adti\u00adval of Lights pro\u00adjec\u00adtions on the Bran\u00adden\u00adburg Gate pro\u00advi\u00added the per\u00adfect backdrop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That evening, all the ele\u00adments that make an event spe\u00adcial came tog\u00ade\u00adther: a space with its own uni\u00adque atmo\u00adsphe\u00adre, tru\u00adly deli\u00adcious food, and peo\u00adp\u00adle enga\u00adging in con\u00adver\u00adsa\u00adti\u00adon with one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
